How to Refer

How to Refer

Clients can self-refer and privately pay for the service.  Please make a booking directly online and ensure you utilise the 10-minute meet and greet service if you are unsure what appointment type to book.

I accept referrals from all providers for privately paying clients via email.  Please ensure your client is aware of the referral and you have full consent before referring.  Please include the client's name, contact details and a brief reason for referral information.  I will acknowledge your referral and make contact with the client.

I provide therapy online and can meet with clients anywhere online in Aotearoa/New Zealand provided they have internet, Zoom, headphones/microphone and video.  If you are in the Taranaki Region and you desire face-to-face therapy please use the online 10-minute meet and greet option initially to discuss options around this.  On occasion I will provide face-to-face therapy locally within Taranaki if it can be arranged.

Funded Therapy for individuals and couples

If you are a Community Services Card holder you may be able to access therapy via Taranaki Primary Connections Primary Mental Health Services as I hold a contract with them.  Please contact your GP, LMC, or Rural Support Trust Coordinator for a referral.  Youth (10-19yrs) can be referred by GP, Public Health Nurse, School Guidance Counsellor, Youth Guarantee Coordinator, Taiohi Ora in Taranaki.

You are entitled to 4 funded sessions (or 8 funded sessions for couples) of 60-minute duration each session.  I will receive the referral from your GP etc and make direct contact with you.  These sessions are required to be completed within 12 weeks.  Following the completion of these funded sessions there is a stand down period of 6 months before being able to access this service again.  However, you can choose to continue privately funding sessions indefinitely.   I DO NOT hold any subsidised funding contracts (i.e. WINZ, ACC sensitive claims).
